THE FOUNDER
Lali Torres is a neurodivergent self-taught visual artist and bonafide artisan. As a daughter of two leather artisans she’s been always creating and experimenting with materials. She has a passion for drawing and illustrating since a very early age. Lali has always felt inspired by the natural elements around her. With a unique brain, her vast knowledge in many art disciplines and her experience with different media and materials she’d always considered herself a lifetime student.
Her goal is to create original, unique, durable and fun artistic pieces. Her mission with her last collection is to inspire people to love, have fun, be happy and to live a joyful live. You are very welcome to join the movement and be the ☮︎ the world desperately needs.
THE STUDIO
nijiba is a multidisciplinary studio, founded in 2023 by Lali Torres. After her son’s ASD assessment and the beginning of a new journey she felt the need of rebranding her studio. Surrounded by nature and with the intention of creating a small, open and peaceful work space nijiba was born. Our name was inspired by the landscapes around us and our culture, in our Taíno ni 𖦹 means water and jiba ѧѦ means mountain. We are a studio where free expression and creativity find its strong hold. The studio works with visionary people. We accept and encourage collaborations with people from around the world. Good vibes only!
THE WORKSHOP
The studio owns a workshop where all of our pieces are manufactured. Every consideration as been made to design and produce our collections. Printing with quality pigments/inks and using only the best mediums. Jewelry and accessories are made with 100% Genuine Leather combined with other fine materials. Each production is made using the best quality materials: archival paper, leather, metals, textiles, wood, glass, shells, seeds, stones and the list goes on...
